Analytics
We use TrueMetric, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve our content, identify technical issues, and enhance the overall user experience.
What information is collected
TrueMetric collects the following anonymous information:
- Page URL
- Referrer URL
- User Agent string (for browser/OS/device type)
- Derived Geographic Location (Country/Region/City - from discarded IP)
- UTM parameters (if present)
- Screen resolution
- Pseudonymous daily `visitId`
How your privacy is protected
TrueMetric is designed with privacy as a priority:
- No cookies are used for analytics tracking
- IP addresses are never stored - they're only used momentarily to determine approximate location (country/region/city) and then immediately discarded
- No personal information is collected or stored
- Daily reset - Even anonymous identifiers are automatically reset every 24 hours, preventing long-term tracking
- No cross-site tracking - Your activity is not tracked across different websites
- All data is processed and stored in the European Union
Legal basis for processing
We process this anonymous analytics data based on our legitimate interest in improving our website and user experience. Given the privacy-preserving measures implemented by TrueMetric (no cookies, no IP storage, daily identifier reset), this represents a minimal privacy impact balanced by the benefits of providing an optimized website experience.
Data retention
We retain anonymous analytics data for [INSERT NUMBER] months, after which it is automatically deleted.
Your controls
You can learn more about our analytics practices by visiting our Privacy Dashboard. If you wish to opt out of anonymous analytics tracking, you can [DESCRIBE OPT-OUT METHOD - e.g., "use the toggle switch in our privacy preferences panel" or "enable Do Not Track in your browser"].

Customizing Your Privacy Policy
Beyond the Template: Essential Customizations
Data Retention Period
Replace [INSERT NUMBER] with your configured retention period in months (e.g., 12, 24). This should match what you've set in your TrueMetric dashboard settings.
Privacy Dashboard URL
Replace [INSERT YOUR PRIVACY DASHBOARD URL] with the actual URL of your TrueMetric Privacy Dashboard. This can be found in your TrueMetric dashboard under Settings > Privacy.
Opt-Out Method
Replace [DESCRIBE OPT-OUT METHOD] with specific details about how users can opt out of tracking on your site. This could be through a privacy preferences panel, a specific link/button, or browser settings.
Optional Features
If you use optional TrueMetric features like custom events, the JavaScript SDK, or revenue tracking, add descriptions of what additional data these features collect. Be specific about what triggers these events and what information is captured.
Legal Jurisdiction-Specific Language
Depending on your location and audience, you may need to add specific language required by GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, ePrivacy, or other regulations. Consult with a legal professional to ensure compliance with all relevant privacy laws.
LIA Resources Available
If you're using the Legitimate Interest approach, we provide a comprehensive Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) template in your TrueMetric dashboard. This helps document your decision-making process and demonstrate compliance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
